1. What ClauseCheck does
ClauseCheck is an AI-powered contract analysis tool. You paste or upload a contract, and our system highlights risky clauses, generates diagnosis scores, and provides plain-language explanations. This is not legal advice.
2. Your documents are never stored
Your contract is analysed in real time and is never stored on our servers. The text you paste or upload is processed to generate your diagnosis and is discarded immediately afterwards. We do not keep a copy of your contract.
3. Data we collect
The only personal data we retain is your email address, and only if you choose to download the annotated PDF report. We use your email solely to send you that report and, if you opt in, occasional updates. We never sell or share your email address.
4. Cookies
ClauseCheck uses only essential cookies required for the application to function (e.g., cookie consent preference). We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking scripts.
5. Third-party processors
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes your contract text for analysis. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic does not train on API inputs.
- Resend — sends transactional emails. Subject to Resend's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts the application. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Restriction — request restricted processing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Objection — object to processing of your personal data
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
Since we do not store your documents, there is no document data to access, rectify, or delete. For email-related requests, contact us below.
7. Data retention
Contract text: zero retention. Not stored at any point.
Email addresses: retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe.
PDF reports: generated client-side in your browser. We never receive or store the PDF file.
